Position Overview

We are seeking a Robotics & Automation Technician based in Minneapolis to support the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of robotic systems across subtractive and additive manufacturing environments.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring on-site work and travel to customer facilities for system deployment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission industrial robotic systems

  • Program and optimize robots for welding, machine tending, and additive manufacturing support

  • Integrate robotic systems with CNC machines and 3D printing equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and programming issues

  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability

  • Support deployment of lights-out manufacturing cells

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization


Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, or similar)

  • Experience in robotic welding and/or CNC automation

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical + controls)

  • Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics

  • Comfortable working in industrial manufacturing environments

  • Willingness to travel for installations and commissioning


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additive manufacturing systems (metal or polymer 3D printing)

  • PLC integration knowledge

  • Industrial robotics certifications
