Position Overview
We are seeking a Robotics & Automation Technician based in Minneapolis to support the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of robotic systems across subtractive and additive manufacturing environments.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring on-site work and travel to customer facilities for system deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission industrial robotic systems
Program and optimize robots for welding, machine tending, and additive manufacturing support
Integrate robotic systems with CNC machines and 3D printing equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and programming issues
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability
Support deployment of lights-out manufacturing cells
Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, or similar)
Experience in robotic welding and/or CNC automation
Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical + controls)
Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
Comfortable working in industrial manufacturing environments
Willingness to travel for installations and commissioning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additive manufacturing systems (metal or polymer 3D printing)
PLC integration knowledge
Industrial robotics certifications
