We're DHR Engineering
We build and integrate custom automation and robotics systems that impact daily life — automating high-stakes manufacturing processes through robotics integration, reliable control systems, and rapid hardware development and deployment.
We don’t do off-the-shelf. We don’t do easy. Because we’re writing, building, designing and simulating solutions to novel problems that nobody has solved before, we’re constantly pushing the limits of what technology and humankind can do. Join us and you’ll work across a phenomenal breadth of technology, with incredibly smart people, to create novel, reliable, resilient, scalable and optimized automation systems.
What we do: Developing and deploying manufacturing automation solutions for suppliers to the world’s best aerospace companies. In this scope we architect the process from scratch, including internal logistics, factory layout and discrete task robotization. Since novel problems require novel solutions, we bring many technologies, that are existing only in the researcher labs, to the real world.
About the Role
This is a newly created position with a double mandate. First, you will own hiring at DHR end to end, with a primary focus on engineering roles: build the recruitment function from the ground up, define how we attract candidates, and shape how DHR is perceived on the market. Second, you will own the employee experience after the hire — driving the satisfaction, wellbeing, and retention of the team you help build. Hiring brilliant engineers only matters if they stay and thrive.
You will work directly with the engineering team and management, giving you full context on what we are building, the profiles we need, and how the team is really doing.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Employer Brand
Manage the full recruitment cycle for engineering roles: sourcing, screening, scheduling, and offer stage
Own all DHR job advertisements across every channel — writing them, publishing them, and keeping them active, accurate, and up to date
Create and maintain DHR's employer profiles on job boards, university career portals, and student platforms
Own DHR's participation in career fairs and university job days: identify the right events, register the company, prepare the materials, and be present on site
Build and maintain relationships with universities, student organisations, meetups, and developer communities to secure a steady flow of candidates
Track candidates and keep the process moving, with timely communication at every stage
Partner with engineering managers to define role requirements and candidate profiles
Report on hiring activity: open roles, pipeline status, time to hire, and channel effectiveness
Employee Experience, Wellbeing & Retention
Own the employee satisfaction and engagement strategy: design and run regular pulse surveys, analyse the results, and drive concrete action plans with management
Develop and lead wellbeing initiatives — from onboarding experience and recognition to work-life balance — and measure their adoption and impact
Monitor retention and turnover; conduct stay and exit interviews to identify root causes of attrition and recommend interventions
Partner with engineering managers to address team-level engagement issues and build management practices that keep great people
Report to management on engagement, satisfaction, and retention trends with actionable recommendations
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or Engineering
2+ years of recruitment or HR experience, preferably with technical roles
Technical instinct — you can hold a real conversation with an engineer and walk away knowing whether they're good
Proven experience with proactive sourcing, not only reviewing inbound applications
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, jobs.bg, or similar sourcing platforms
Strong communication and relationship-building skills; people trust you with honest feedback
Excellent command of English and Bulgarian, both written and spoken
Experience with employer branding, career events, or university partnerships is a strong advantage
Experience running engagement surveys, wellbeing programs, or retention initiatives is a strong advantage
Ideal Candidate
Proactive, structured, and results-oriented
Equally comfortable in a technical conversation with an engineer and a strategic discussion with management
Able to build a process from scratch rather than inherit a playbook
Genuinely cares how people are doing — and turns that care into programs, metrics, and action
Excited to shape both how a growing engineering organisation hires and how it keeps its people
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on experience
Full ownership of the recruitment and people function from day one
Direct access to management and the engineering team
Professional growth in a stable and ambitious business working on projects of global relevance
